Brawl breaks out at Hyde Park High School

- Chicago police and public school officials are investigating a fight at Hyde Park High School, 62nd and Stony Island. Officials said the fight broke out during a pep rally in the school's gymnasium on Thursday when a former member of the football team pushed a current player. A number of others ended up getting involved in the altercation.

Police and school security guards eventually broke up the brawl. No one was hurt.

Officials are reviewing security video to determine if there will be any charges or disciplinary actions.

Our children do not understand having fun without confusion or fighting. The responsibility lies on their parents some of which share the same mentality about having a good time. Why must most of t he things we do in the African American community always result with someone fighting or getting injured. Wake Up People
